My name is Gordon Bruce and I specialize in creating seascapes through oil painting on canvas. My passion for art has always been deeply rooted in my appreciation for the ocean's vast beauty, making the subject matter a perfect choice for me. My aim when creating my works is to evoke a strong emotional response in the viewer by capturing both the chaotic and tranquil elements of marine life with realism. From the vibrant blues of an azure sky to sandy shores lapping against an array of rocks, each piece speaks its own language while embodying the intricate energy that encompasses nature. By blending intense light and darks with lush layers of colour, texture and brushstrokes, I create stunning scenes that speak directly to viewers.
