Painting the sea
Where movement meets light
The sea can be tranquil one moment and full of energy the next. That contrast gives me endless possibilities as a painter—from transparent green waves and dark rocks to enormous skies reflected across quiet water.
I use layers of oil colour, highlights and varied brushwork to give each scene depth and movement. My aim is not simply to record a coastline, but to recreate the feeling of standing beside the water.
