In Search of Edward Hopper
A cinematic, solitary scene inspired by the quiet drama and architecture of Edward Hopper.

I’m Gordon Bruce, an oil painter from Aberdeen, Scotland. I create nostalgic street scenes, Scottish landscapes, folk-inspired countryside and narrative paintings rooted in literature, music and art history.
What connects them all is story. I want each painting to feel like a world you can step into—a rainy street glowing at dusk, a remembered winter, or a quiet moment from another time.
